“Great architecture is only gonna come from your passion.”
Wow…never noticed it in the movie…have a lovely weekend, Maria! xx meenal
This scene is really fantastic.
And what a class!
You made me think about other great architect that I admire so much, I.M.Pei, he is so creative, like that mirrored building in Boston that became invisible because when you look at it all you can see is the old Boston buildings and church reflected. And the Scientology temple with that mirror of water, simulating the Bible passage “walking on the water”.
I guess the teacher could easily be Mr.Pei, don’t you think?
Talking too much, sorry.
Have a great weekend, my friend.

Wow, die Bilder sind ja der Wahnsinn. Wenn man das nötige Kleingeld hat, kann man sich natürlich auch ganz anders verwirklichen.
Gehst du dieses Jahr auch wieder auf LP?
Fantastisch!
Schönes Wochenende!

I must profess my ignorance – I remember the movie, and remember that line, but had no idea who he was talking about, until I moved to Fort Worth in ’09, and discovered the Kimbell Art Museum, designed by Louis Kahn.
Last year, I took a fine arts class for college, and had to write a critique on a piece of art. We were allowed to pick a local piece of architecture as our subject, and I was initially disappointed that I couldn’t write about one of the magnificent buildings in Chicago (where I lived for 18 years prior to moving to Texas). I thought Fort Worth was an architectural wasteland until I discovered the Kimbell. I wrote my critique on that gorgeous building. I love it!
