Casa Finisterra in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, erinnert mich an mein Traumhaus – Nähe zum Meer, minimalistische Einrichtung und riesengroße Fenster, die den Ozean fast ins Zimmer bringen und ihm erlauben, Teil vom Interior zu werden. I can never resist the beauty and the sense of freedom of a house overlooking the sea, especially when floor-to-ceiling windows allow the ocean to enter the house and become part of the interior. I was revisiting the site of New York based interiors and ladscape firm Rees Roberts + Partners (while waiting at the airport for friends to arrive) when I saw the Casa Finisterra again. It is located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, architecture: Steven Harris Architects, interior design: Rees Roberts + Partners. Rees Roberts, I have a crush on your work!

In der spanischen Zeitschrift Mi casa revista habe ich heute diese Traumwohnung entdeckt. Weiße Wände und viel Holz – meine Lieblingskombination. Die Bilder erinnern mich an einen Zitat von William A. Ward: “A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.”

Today: a nice mixture of inspiration from the Spanish magazine Mi casa revista. This beautiful home combines some of my favorites – white-painted walls and warm wooden surfaces – and reminds me of a quote by William A. Ward: “A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.”
